More about Taylor

I warned everyone that it would mostly be about Taylor. He's getting really big. On Thursday last week he weighedin at 8lbs 12 oz when he was at the renal doctor. He is doing really well, and they were happy with what they found on his bloodwork. We're trying to get home health setting up home weight checks so that we can cut our visits to the pediatrician down a bit.
Taylor's so funny. He has always been such a snuggle bug and we have taken some very funny pictures of him recently. He loves to smoosh his nose up against whoever is holding him. I was worried about how much oxygen he could get like that, but when I hooked up his oximeter he was satting a 100%, so now I let hiim stay that way as long as he wants. Tummy time has become a favortie thing this week and he fusses when we take him off of his tummy. He also has had several baths before this in his big baby tub, but I only recently got pictures because ususally I bathe him in the morning after Brett is gone to wkr, but I bathed him at night on Memorial day and we finally got some picutures. He isn't sure about the tub, and seems fine as long as I'm there and I don't try to bathe him, just let him soak.
Oh well. Whatever works, right?

Taylor

Taylor is a really special gift. He is getting so big and strong. It's fun to watch him as he learns new things and grows. He is 11 weeks old now and he is so much fun! He is starting to recognize me and Brett even further away than before, and he really likes to cuddle. He enjoys his floor time when I let him lay on a blanket on the floor and just play. He doesn't get tummy time exactly, because I worry about his button popping out. Yes, he got his G "button" in place of his feeding tube. It's nice because it isn't bulky and sits right against his skin. The tube plugs in and out for feedings and the rest of the time, unless he's undressed, he looks like a normal baby. He also recently got a harness to help hold his hip in place. his left hip is easily dislocated called Hip displasia. He hated his harness at first, but now he's getting used to it. In case anyone is wondering, he goes to the Renal doctor this week, so we can get an update on his kidneys, then.
I am going crazy with the camera and take pictures of him almost all day, but he's too cute to let anything slide by.

the Brett Burtons

this is the blog for Brett, Jenni abd Taylor. Mainly it's to show off how cute and big and strong and adorable Taylor is, but I'm sure that we'll show off how cute and adorable and strong Brett is too. This is the first blog for any of the three of us, so it may take some time to get things just right.
